A man was fatally shot early Sunday in the Humboldt Park neighborhood on the West Side, police said.
Officers responding to a call of shots fired about 12:45 a.m. found the 31-year-old lying on the sidewalk in the 3400 block of West Hirsch, according to Chicago Police.
He had suffered a gunshot wound to the face and was taken to Norwegian American Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police said. The Cook County medical examiner’s office did not immediately confirm the fatality.
