UPDATES WITH TRAINS ON THE MOVE
CTA Red Line trains are back on the move Thursday morning after a woman became stuck between the platform and a train on the South Side.
The woman fell while getting on a train and became stuck between the train and the platform at the 69th Street Red Line station in the 0-100 block of West 69th Street at 8:11 a.m., according to Chicago Police.
She was removed by paramedics and taken to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where her condition stabilized, police said.
Power was shut off on the tracks and service was suspended between the Garfield and 95th Street stations for about half an hour, according to police and the CTA.
Normal service resumed on the Red Line at 8:50 a.m., though some residual delays were possible, according to the transit agency.
