A man was fatally shot early Sunday in the West Elsdon neighborhood on the Southwest Side, police said.
The 36-year-old was sitting in the driver’s seat of a parked car about 12:30 a.m. in the 5600 block of South Kolmar when a silver vehicle pulled alongside and someone inside opened fire, according to Chicago Police.
The man was shot in the side of his torso and was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. The Cook County medical examiner’s office did not immediately confirm the fatality.
