A man was fatally shot in the Southwest Side Lawndale neighborhood Sunday afternoon, police said.
The 28-year-old was shot in the back at 4:02 p.m. in the 2000 block of South Homan, according to preliminary information from Chicago Police. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Cook County medical examiner’s office did not confirm the death.
Area Central detectives are conducting a homicide investigation.
