UPDATES WITH SUSPECTS IN CUSTODY

(BENSENVILLE) A woman found dead on a golf course Thursday morning in northwest suburban Bensenville was stabbed to death, and two people are now in custody, according to authorities.

The body of the 37-year-old woman was found about 8 a.m. at White Pines Golf Club & Banquets at 500 W. Jefferson St. in unincorporated Bensenville, according to Cook County sheriff’s office spokeswoman Sophia Ansari.

The woman was the victim of a “suspected homicide” that occurred earlier in the day in the 11500 block of Grand Avenue in unincorporated Cook County, Ansari said.

An autopsy Friday found the victim died from a stab wound to the back, and her death is being investigated as a homicide, the DuPage County coroner’s office said. Her name was not being released pending notification of family.

Two people were taken into custody, Ansari said, but no charges had been filed as of late Thursday afternoon.
