UPDATES WITH FATALITY
A 27-year-old man was killed in a shooting Friday in the Little Village neighborhood on the Southwest Side, police said.
About 7:10 p.m., he was in the 4000 block of West 25th Place when someone came up to him and began shooting, Chicago Police said.
He suffered a gunshot wound to his head and was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he later died, police said.
The Cook County medical examiner’s office has not confirmed the death. Area Central detectives were investigating.
