UPDATES WITH DETAILS

A Chicago man is facing felony charges after crack cocaine and heroin were found during a raid Thursday at a home in west suburbs Aurora.

During a prostitution investigation in early August, members of the Naperville Police Special Operations Group learned that someone was selling heroin and crack cocaine in the city, police said. Detectives later tracked the source of the narcotics to a home in the 700 block of Lewisburg Lane in Aurora.

On Thursday, Naperville police executed a search warrant at the home with members of the Aurora Police Special Operations Group and agents from the Drug Enforcement Agency, police said. The search turned up about 50 grams of crack cocaine, 23 grams of heroin, drug packaging materials, drug paraphernalia and a small amount of cash.

Eugene Sanders, 37, of the Southwest Side Ashburn neighborhood, was taken into custody and charged with felony counts of possessions with intent to deliver heroin and possession with intent to deliver cocaine, police said. He also faces misdemeanor counts of possession of drug paraphernalia and fleeing or attempting to elude a peace officer.

Information about where Sanders is being held wasn’t made available.
