UPDATES WITH ID OF ONE VICTIM, AUTOPSY RESULTS
(CICERO) A man and woman found dead Tuesday morning in west suburban Cicero are the apparent victims of a murder-suicide.
About 11:30 a.m., the bodies of a 27-year-old man and a 38-year-old woman were found in the 5100 block of West 25th Place, according to Cicero spokesman Ray Hanania.
The woman, identified as Sara Rebeca Roche Hidalgo of Bronx, New York, died of a gunshot wound to the head and her death was ruled a homicide, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.
The man also suffered a gunshot wound to the head, and his death was ruled a suicide, according to the medical examiner’s office. His name was not released Wednesday afternoon.
There is no evidence that there is an outside threat to the community, Hanania said. Police believe this was an isolated incident.
The investigation is ongoing.
