UPDATES WITH DETAILS, CORRECTS AGES
A 16-year-old boy and a 29-year-old man were shot Sunday afternoon in the Lawndale neighborhood on the Southwest Side.
They were standing on a corner about 3:35 p.m. in the 3400 block of West 16th Street when someone fired at them from a red Chevrolet vehicle, Chicago Police said. The type of vehicle used in the shooting was not immediately known.
The boy was struck in his left hand and left leg, and the man was struck twice in the buttocks, police said. The man took himself to Mount Sinai Hospital and the boy was taken by ambulance. Both were stabilized in good condition.
