CORRECTS AGE OF VICTIM PER POLICE, DETAILS
An 18-year-old man was shot to death Thursday morning in the Lawndale neighborhood on the West Side, police said.
Officers responding to reports of shots fired at 7:24 a.m. found the man with gunshot wounds to the arm and neck in the 3800 block of West Flournoy, according to Chicago police.
He was taken to Stroger Hospital, where he later died, police said.
The Cook County medical examiner’s office did not release his identity Thursday.
Police said the shooting was believed to be related to the selling of narcotics.
