A 37-year-old man was shot Sunday evening in the West Side Austin neighborhood.
He was shot in the back about 7:35 p.m. in the 1200 block of North Mayfield, according to Chicago Police.
The man was taken to Stroger Hospital, where his condition stabilized, police said.
