(PALATINE) A northwest suburban woman won a $112,500 lottery prize last month.
Jayne Jeschke, 60, of Palatine won the “Lucky Day Lotto” prize when her ticket matched five numbers – 01 – 03 – 07 – 10 – 12 – in the evening drawing on June 2, according to a statement from the Illinois Lottery.
“I didn’t know how much I won until I came into the lottery office,” Jeschke said when she presented her ticket at the Illinois Lottery Prize Center in Des Plaines. “This is awesome!”
She said she plans to use her winnings to pay bills and buy a new car.
The Shell gas station at 3 W. Algonquin Road in Arlington Heights received a bonus of $1,125, or 1 percent of the prize amount, for selling the winning ticket.
Four winning tickets split the $450,000 “Lucky Day Lotto” jackpot from June 2, lottery officials said. The three other winning tickets were purchased in Chicago, Harwood Heights and East Alton.
