A suspect is in custody after an Uber driver was stabbed to death early Tuesday in north suburban Lincolnwood, according to police.
Grant Nelson, 34, was working as a driver for the ride sharing company, Uber, when he was stabbed at 3:22 a.m. near the intersection of Touhy and Lincoln avenues, Lincolnwood police said.
Nelson, a Wilmette resident, was taken to St. Francis Hospital in Evanston, where he died at 7:55 a.m., police said. A suspect was found hiding behind a building in the area and was taken into custody.
Police said the stabbing was an isolated incident.
