A man was killed and a woman was critically wounded in a South Shore neighborhood shooting Monday morning, according to Chicago Police.
The 26-year-old woman was driving in the 7000 block of South Chappel at 11:25 a.m. with a passenger when another vehicle drove by and someone inside fired shots, police said.
The passenger, a man between 20 and 27 years old, was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. The woman was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, where she was listed in critical condition.
