A man was critically wounded in a shooting Saturday afternoon in the Bronzeville neighborhood on the South Side.
The 23-year-old was sitting in a vehicle about 12:40 p.m. in the 4800 block of South Langley when another vehicle pulled alongside and someone got out and fired shots, according to Chicago Police.
The man tried to escape by running into a nearby building’s lobby in the 4900 block of South Langley, but the shooter followed him inside, shot him several times and ran away, police said.
The man suffered gunshot wounds to the face, right arm and right hip and was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital in critical condition, police said.
