CORRECTS AGE PER CPD; UPDATES WITH NEW DETAILS
A man was shot in the right leg on Thursday evening in the Gresham neighborhood on the South Side.
The 38-year-old was standing on a sidewalk about 6:30 p.m. in the 8300 block of South Throop when a gunman got out of a red SUV and opened fire, according to Chicago Police.
He was taken to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where his condition was stabilized, police said.
The shooting was considered gang-related.
