A man was critically wounded in a shooting Thursday afternoon in the West Side Austin neighborhood.
At 2:25 p.m., the 38-year-old was inside a vehicle in the 5200 block of West Madison when someone in another car opened fire on him, according to Chicago Police.
He was shot in the head and taken to Stroger Hospital, where he was listed in critical condition, police said.
