A 45-year-old man was killed in a hit-and-run Friday night in the Lawndale neighborhood on the Southwest Side.

Jessie Rosales was struck by a vehicle about 10 p.m. in the 4000 block of West 16th Street, according to Chicago Police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

Rosales, who lived in the 3900 block of South Euclid, was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 10:08 p.m., the medical examiner’s office said. An autopsy Saturday determined he died from multiple blunt force injuries he suffered in the crash and his death was ruled an accident.
