A woman was struck by a vehicle and critically injured in a hit-and-run Monday morning in the Austin neighborhood on the West Side.
She was struck about 6:15 a.m. while she was in a crosswalk in the 5300 block of West Chicago, according to Chicago Police.
The woman, thought to be between 45 and 50 years old, was taken in critical condition to Mount Sinai Hospital, police said.
