A man was shot to death early Sunday in the South Shore neighborhood, police said.
The 21-year-old was found at 12:49 a.m. lying on the ground in the backyard of a home in the 2600 block of East 76th Street, according to Chicago Police.
He had been shot in the head and was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. The Cook County medical examiner’s office did not immediately provide information on the fatality.
Area South detectives have opened a homicide investigation.
