UPDATES WITH CHARGE FILED
A man has been charged with a weapon violation after he shot a man during an argument at a house party in the Logan Square neighborhood early Saturday on the Northwest Side.
Georgie Harris, 54, of the 5300 block of North Paulina was charged with a misdemeanor count of possession of a firearm without a FOID card, Chicago Police said.
About 1:20 a.m., Harris and a 23-year-old man were at a house party in the 3800 block of West Palmer when they got into an argument, police said. Harris shot the younger man in both legs. He was taken to Stroger Hospital, where his condition was stabilized.
Harris stayed at the party and admitted to officers that he shot the man, police said. He was taken into custody without incident.
