UPDATES WITH AGE, MEDICAL EXAMINER’S INFORMATION
A 20-year-old man was gunned down Tuesday evening in a West Garfield Park neighborhood drive-by attack.
About 5:45 p.m., a dark-colored car pulled up to him in the 3500 block of West Van Buren and someone inside opened fire, hitting the man multiple times in the head and chest, according to Chicago Police.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene at 6:08 p.m., according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office. His name has not yet been released, pending notification of his family.
The Cook County medical examiner’s office did not immediately have information on the death.
